Purpose
Asalaam Alaikum Warahmat Allah Wabarakatu:
Life is too precious to waste, yet we as a human race do a good job at procrastinating, ignoring, passing up, and letting go even of meaningful activities that can earn us some good for this life and more importantly for the hereafter. Rather than getting all defensive, and thinking that wearing hijab is enough, praying 5x/s a day is enough, making duaa for the miskeen or even being the only Muslim in an entire mall…should not give us the sense that we are better than most if we feel that redemption is not necessary “as much.” The thing is, knowledge is such a powerful tool that will be held against us if we do not apply it as we know it. Many times we know what the right thing to do is and yet we make excuses for avoiding that righteous deed. Life is short, and then it’s over for an eternal life to follow…and no matter how much comfort we seek, gain, or acheive, life will always be a struggle. So let’s struggle for the right reasons in the right way without excuses and without ignorance. Seek knowledge with patience and trust no one more than Allah. Know that our homes, families, businesses, and health do not come solely from saving money, our styles, or being consistent with vitamins. A seed doesn’t just grow with soil, water, sunlight and air. The most important factor is baraka, and wihout Allah’s Will we are nothing, we have nothing. So remember these things, as I remind myself of these points as my family and I do something for Allah that I’ve never done before…
This is about another hijrah to the luminous city of Prophet Muhammad, sal’Allahu’Alayhee wa’salam insha’Allah. This blog represents a stance of a Muslimah making hijrah with husband and four small children across the world, to Madinah Munawarra in hopes for Allah’s acceptance and Allah’s Mercy that I am in desperate need of. Fears and anxieties are present no doubt. But the motivator is fearing and loving Allah more than every other important factor in my life. This is my test.
Insha’Allah I intend to write about what is pleasing to Allah on the topics of hijrah as it relates to Madinah and on leaving what is comforting, the known. If any negativity comes from this blog then that is of myself but if any benefit comes from it, then that is from the beauty of Islam that Allah has prescribed for all of humanity. If I offend anyone in my writings then please make me aware of it. But do know that I will never allow anyone to defame Islam here, as there is much of that everywhere else.
May Allah strengthen the Muslims in faith and worship through activities of daily living, and may Allah guide us and all sincere people to the Straight Path. Ameen.
